Here’s the last of my started seeds. This is Cherokee Moon and Stars Watermelon. Supposedly it’s a variety grown by the Cherokee indians. It gets its name from the few large and many small yellow circles on its dark green exterior. The flavor is supposed to be very sweet. The seedlings are doing very well and already need to be transplanted. I think I’m going to grow 2 in my garden, put at in my parents’ house and give two to my friend Kris. Watermelon take up a lot of space in a garden so I think instead I’m going to plant them either in beds or on the back edge of the garden.
