Croftstone Acres Farm

We are a very small operation in Greenville, SC experiencing our first year. This year is all about learning. Plans are to eat or share the majority of what is produced and to sell any potential excesses. I hope to eventually be a multi-plot urban farm that provides extra income for my family and fresh, nutritious food for the families in Community with us. I also hope to create relationships, further knowledge, increase beauty, and glorify God through our farm and its radius of influence.

The romaine lettuce transplants did well. I lost two due to trampling by dog feet, but the rest have grown and produced well. We’ve eaten a few salads off them and there’s plenty more to harvest. It’s about to meet its end, though. With warmer temperatures coming (which turn the flavor more bitter) it probably only has a week or two left. Likewise for the spinach.
