Water your transplants after planting them to remove any pockets of air in the soil. I just used a watering can and a couple trips to the spigot.
And this is what my tomato patch looks like. I’m planning to plant the heirloom varieties in containers and set them in beds in the front yard. This should prevent the strains from cross pollinating and I hope to be able to save some seeds for next year.
